It's all fun and games |
![]() PallaPalla just wants to be friends, honest. Don't be mistaken, she's actually the second oldest of her sisters. Haha. I am also Sailor Pallas, one of the protectors of Small Lady. Sailor Mercury is my mentor.

Ami couldn’t take her eyes off of Pallas’ face. After finally being able to see her upon being told that she was in fact her child, it was all too appealing for Ami to just get lost in the idea of what all of that entailed. It made since though, even when she had meet the Amazon Quartet previously, she had always been drawn to Palla Palla. Ami had assumed it had nothing more to do with her than her being similar to her in attack and power. Although, if she had known that she was her daughter it would have made even more sense as to why she was shaped in her own likeness. She heard Pallas’ statement and wanted to believe her, she had to believe her that they had both cared for her as she was but there was so much about the situation that neither of them could understand.
As Ami went to speak she couldn’t help but guard her response. So much of what had happened had in fact been of her own doing even if Nephrite had had a hand in it, she knew that much and had come to grips with that realization. Her own missions had always revolved around the desire to win Zoisite’s heart at whatever cost but to tell Pallas that would only sharpen her anger which was something she did not wish to do. “I wasn’t good enough for Zoisite because I wasn’t good enough for myself.” The admission was one she had not originally intended to make because of the sheer amount of honesty in it. She had never felt good enough for her own self, so to imagine that she could ever be good enough for someone else was ridiculous. She squared her shoulders as she stood there in the dark, if she could just keep walking forward towards Pallas’s image maybe Pallas could pull her out of the darkness that kept her separated from her family.
“Regardless of how I feel about myself and what he might have said before I came here, there were things that happened that were never fully explained to you. Things that even I do not have the full understanding of, but Pallas you must understand that I promise to tell them to you as soon as I know what has happened to me.” Ami placed her hand over her heart as she fought to inch closer to the blue haired beauty before her. However, the more she moved to leave her poorly lit chamber, the slower her movements became. This did not go unnoticed by Ami but she continued to fight against them as she struggled to reassure Pallas of her true feelings. “Because I would never, in my right mind, have done something like this on my own.”
Zoisite’s voice came to her asshe started gaining her confidence that she could in fact leave this place. “Listen to me, darling, listen. My sweet, sweet Mercury, I am so sorry. For everything. But you cannot leave me like this. This cannot be the end! It is just the beginning. I have found you again in this lifetime, and I will not let you go now. It wouldn’t be fair! Not now, never again, please!” Her heart flipped, she’d not heard his voice in some time so to actually hear it as if he were actually there beside her caused her heart to beat erratically.
As if hearing his voice alone was enough to drive her over the edge, the darkness began pulling her back in again. She blinked her eyes repeatedly and noticed that the image of Pallas was growing dimmer as Ami began fighting harder. Ami refused to be drug back into the inky darkness as she dug her heals into the black abyss that had taken shape underneath her. She had been in here for too long and she wasn’t going to take it anymore. Her family needed her, and if they were too angry with her, she would earn their forgiveness, something she simply couldn’t do here. “What do you mean I didn’t care?” She knew that Pallas had every right to be angry with her and say these things, but to see her say them to her face was too much. Her hands clenched at her side as she thought this over, she knew that most of her actions had been bad, but there was never a moment when she’d stopped loving either of them. Her voice was calm and steady when she spoke, the last thing she wanted to do was push Pallas further away than she already had. “How can you say that to me when all I have done the entire time I have been here has been surrounded around the idea of getting back to you! I haven’t seen you for months since that night Pallas and all I have wanted to do was see your smiling face and to get back to Zoisite so that we could all be happy for once!”
Her voice had grown in intensity with is something she had tried to contain. From the corner of her eye she thought she saw something move but that couldn’t have been the case. There had been nothing with her these last few months. If there had been something to see she would have seen it by now. As she drew her attention back to Pallas she calmed down once more but was still unable to shake the feeling that she was being watched. “If I ignored you it wasn’t because I had any control over the matter. I still don’t have any control over any of this and you speak to me with such a tone.”
Ami smiled hearing a lot of Zoisite in her now. How she had missed it before was a mystery, but there it was staring her in the face. “But Pallas I’ve not lived that life yet and I cannot recall ever having children in the past, so you’ll have to forgive me but I did not know. All I knew was that I had to protect you when I found you! You had no one here, it was just like how I had to protect your father when we found each other and if anything it has been your safety as well as his that I have been worried about all this time. So I understand that you feel you shouldn’t have to spell it out for me, you shouldn’t have hid it either, especially since you were living with me. Maybe one day you will understand me when I say that I felt as if I had nothing left when your certain things happened between Zoisite and myself.”
She wasn’t sure if she was helping her cause because she couldn’t properly gauge Pallas’s response. The ripples were growing in intensity as she squinted through their glare. It wasn’t fair that after everything she had been through that she had to go through this too. Ami’s anger grew, she hated this place with such intensity now. Hated what it had done to her, hated what it was still doing to her and the more she fought against it the more it strived to keep her there. Two could play at that game though. Ami took a deep breath as she raised her voice, “Don’t you understand Pallas? I have loved you and will keep on loving you because I have to be a better mother to you than mine was to me!” Ami had practically yelled at Pallas causing a jolt of energy to run through her body. As it flowed down her arms a flash of energy sent a pulse throughout the room where she had been held captive. Ami’s eyes followed the light and as she did she could have sworn she saw something just to the right of her. “Did you see that?” She asked nervously.
Zoisite’s voice filled the empty space inside her head again, causing her hair to stand on end as if warning her somehow of something that was there that she couldn’t see. “You have so much to live for, darling. Did you hear? Pallas is ours, our daughter. Do not leave her, do not leave me. You are not alone, we are here. We will fight this thing together. And if there is no other way than death, then, by all the gods, let me go with you.”
Trying to not startle her Ami slowly reached out for her hoping that her daughter would follow suit. “Pallas, please take my hand. I don’t know what things are like on your end but you must try and pull me out of here. From my end it looks as if you’re talking to me through water? See if you can’t reach inside of it even if it is a shallow pool. I have no weapons in this place and I think that your presence has caused a disturbance of some kind. It is almost as if you have…” When the growl drifted to her ear Ami nearly fell over from freight. Whatever she had seen only moments before was not only awake but sounded very hungry. A life preserving panic fell over her as she began running as fast as she could in the opposite direction of the creature she knew was stalking her in the darkness. “There’s no time Pallas, you have to trust me! Grab hold of me!”
Pallas frowned. She was tired of being upset with Ami. She never had much persistence when it came to anger anyways. Even her “scarier” side was just a brief episode everytime it happened. But, with Ami, it was destroying her as well to be this upset, and she felt the tears win over the anger.
“You were good enough. I needed you the entire time. I promise,” She sniffed, watched Ami get closer and closer in the darkness that surrounded her. Pallas started to reach out but pulled back, remembering it was just her reflection. Her heart dropped. What could she do?
“I know you shouldn’t be fully blamed. I know you’re not her, not yet anyways. Small Lady told me it was different, but I forget sometimes,” she admitted, leaning closer to the water. “I’m sorry I just blamed you. I’m just so confused.”
Pallas’ frown deepened when Ami asked if she’d seen something. Pallas couldn’t see much besides Ami. She shook her head. There was something there with her? Her first tightened along with her heart. She wasn’t sure if the thing was after her mother or not, of if it was even there, but Ami seemed truly terrified of it.
At Ami’s command, she shoved her hand into the water, not even stopping to be shocked with it went straight through where the bottom of the pond should have been.

You’ve finally come!
Palla Palla, I missed you!! you have to let me know everything that happened while I was gone!
Nephrite took over mommy’s mind and she died! Daddy and I are trying to get her back but we really don’t know how. D:
((If you want the full plot update, I’ll send it in your ask some time this evening =D ))
Page six of the first comic~ Oh man, those first few bubbles were so difficult to translate! I’m not sure I did a very good job of it. Again, last three bubbles are Ceres talking, which is pretty obvious in the Japanese (blah blah blah wa, gojibun blah, watakushi blah blah wa), but not so much in the English and unlike the other page, there wasn’t a super easy fix this time. And look! The rest of the Quartet finally appears! Oh hi there, Juno, did you know you’re my favorite?
You’ve finally come!

Always find this scene pretty funny.
PallaPalla may seem like a little kid, but be forewarned: she’s also probably the most vicious of all of the quartet.
I imagine this extends to her life as Sailor Pallas too. You do NOT want to get on her bad side. She may seem sweet and innocent but if you do something to make her angry, you’re asking for it.

The first page of the second comic, which is titled “Gathering.” As I translate, I’m realizing just how few onomatopoeia the English language...
Page two of twelve of Gathering, the second comic I’m posting here. I had a little trouble translating what Pallas was saying, but overall, not too...
Can I just say…
That I love the Amazon Trio and the Amazon Quartet.
They’re the reason that SuperS is my favorite season.
